These are a few of the day’s happenings....

 

(to the tune of  "Raindrops on Roses" from 'The Sound of Music')

White cotton tops and some loose comfy trousers,
Umbrellas, shades and our good open sandals
Shopping bags, Nol cards and some extra cash
These were a few of our trip’s basic stash.

Don’t be late Lisa, let’s get to the metro,
It won’t be crowded, Oh! I really hope so.
Off we go happily through the huge mall,
It won’t be so hot at 7 after all!!

And when we reached there, not so much long after,
Long queues we noticed and wished they moved faster,
Sweating, we began to, as we did wait,
Finally got our chance in through the gate!

What do we see!! Lots of’em buys!
Wished nice things they had
In we went stall to stall, with searching eyes
And then we didn’t feel so bad!

We knew what we wanted, off we went searching,
Stopping at each stall until we were lurching,
Browsing and bargaining till we did feel
that we had finally struck a good deal!

Pizza for breakfast and ice-cream at lunch time,
Sure doesn’t harm to be this way ‘least sometime
Sweaty and filthy, but pleased with our buys
Headed back gleefully, our home to stylize.

And so we don’t feel so bad!!!
